The Flaming Lips’ Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots was released in 2002, as the follow-up to their breakthrough album The Soft Bulletin. Yoshimi is the band’s best-selling album with Gold certifications in the U.S. (700,000 sales), the UK (300,000 sales) and Australia. The album features one of the band’s most iconic songs “Do You Realize??” (their highest streaming song), plus the singles Fight Test, Ego Tripping at the Gates of Hell, and the title track.
This 5 LP, 56 track vinyl box features 30 previously unreleased tracks and over 40 tracks being released on vinyl for the first time. It also includes the original album, demos, b-sides, and highlights of the many radio sessions the band performed.
The 6 CD box also includes the two EPs released during the original album cycle and two live concerts from Boston in 2002 and London in 2003. The EPs and live concerts will be released on vinyl in 2023.
