Rapidly-rising indie trio Sunday (1994) expand on their filmic universe with the vinyl release of a deluxe version of their self-titled debut EP. The extended special of their highly acclaimed first offering includes three additional songs, including latest single ‘Blossom’. On the release of the now nine-track project, Sunday (1994) said: "We were left speechless by the overwhelming reaction to our debut EP earlier this year. To complete the picture, we’ve added the final brushstrokes, and now present the deluxe edition. Nine songs from a band scattered across the world, all trying to figure out if our lives will become a blockbuster, a cult classic, or maybe something else entirely."

The new tracks on the deluxe also include previous single releases ‘Softly’ – the dreamy, jangle-pop track capturing the profound attachment of early romance - and ‘TV Car Chase’, a quintessentially Sunday (1994) offering which encapsulates the band’s signature blend of dark humour and hopeless romanticism. The original, self-titled project had dropped to a rapidly growing fanbase, following acclaimed single offerings which saw the outfit capture the hearts of audiences on both side of the Atlantic. Sunday (1994) emerged in 2024 as a band with something to say about the magic of the mundane, unveiling a collection of songs which evoke the bittersweet nostalgia of 90s romance cinema, encompassing an effortless artistry and quick-witted charm.

‘Tired Boy’, was released as the band’s debut offering, following growing intrigue online and a passionate TikTok following. The track, with its confessional tongue-in-cheek lyricism spilt over sparkling melancholic guitar, was a glistening welcome into the charming world of Sunday (1994). Follow-up single ‘Stained Glass Window’, a declaration of love, was later unveiled, seeped in wistful nostalgia of the golden eras of the 80s and 90s. All eyes on Sunday (1994) into 2025 as they’ll return to the UK for a tour and more…
