THANK YOU!
So here we are, back with our review of the year and once again it's been a busy 12 months.
There have been so many important events this year. We were sad to say goodbye to Employee 001, Our Ben, as he headed off in to the big wide world (well, Liverpool) but we were thrilled to welcome Amy to the team in his place. We hosted Little Sparrow as part of the Nantwich Roots Festival and were really proud to be associated with the Words and Music Festival which brings such amazing artists to the town. We also branched out in to preloved records, bringing a completely different range to the shop with everything from the Beatles and Rolling Stones to The Streets, Fatboy Slim and Nirvana finding their way in to our second hand crates over the year.
Last but by no means least we hosted our very first Record Store Day. You can't imagine how amazing it felt to come round the corner at 7am on Saturday morning to see everyone queueing around the car park. We can't thank everyone enough for coming out to support us and also a massive shout out to the team who volunteered to make bacon butties and hand out coffee (courtesy of Tilted Coffee) to those hardy souls who'd been waiting since the early hours. Same time next year everyone?
So as 2022 draws to a close, we're looking forward to another exciting year ahead. As Pete mentioned in the foreword, Applestump will be taking to the airwaves and we have lots more plans that we can't wait to share with you.
Have an amazing Christmas and New Year and we'll see you down there in 2023!
